Tour operator Travelwise Holidays is turning its attention to the Kiwi trade.
Company general manager Andrew Harrison (pictured) says the company is looking to ‘branch out into the wider world’ and he believes its product will provide agents a new touring option. It offers a diverse range that targets those aged 60 plus, and he adds the product is four-star plus, and almost everything is included.

“We just have such good satisfaction rate, that we’re confident in going out to the trade,” says Harrison.
A unique selling point, he adds, is the Kiwi tour leaders, which include familiar faces such as Tony Smith and David Libeau, with Harrison saying they have clients that will pick trips based solely on the tour leader rather than the destination.
“If you look at our testimonials on our website, what they say about our tour leaders, that will tell you everything.”
. . . 8% Commission
For agents, Travelwise is offering agents an 8% commission, and that’s on everything.
“So if it’s a $20,000 to $30,000 trip, you are getting commission on air, even on GST.” And, with a high retention rate, any future trips booked seeing commission going to the original agent, there’s earning potential, which will add to the appeal for agents.
“We’ll make the process easy, and you own the customers,” says Harrison to agents.
. . . Offerings
Travelwise Holidays’ portfolio has up to 40 tours across New Zealand and overseas. A point of difference says Harrison is that it offers a home pickup and drop-off ser vice for those in Auckland, from Pukekohe to Whangaparaoa.
Its events-based tours, which Harrison says include the five-day Phantom of the Opera on Sydney Harbour and the five-day The Neil Diamond Musical—A Beautiful Noise, are also said to be increasingly popular with Kiwis.
Longer haul options highlighted by Harrison include the 28-day The Grand Panama Voyage aboard Norwegian Bliss.
“We’ve got our systems in order, and we’re ready to go,” adds Harrison. For more information, see details HERE.
