The Vanuatu Tourism Office has launched Welkam Vanuatu, a new on-line training program which its ceo Adela Issachar Aru says marks a pivotal moment in the tourism organisation’s global marketing strategy —as she acknowledges that knowledgeable travel agents are its ‘most effective destination ambassadors’.

The progressive training module has four levels. The first is ocean themed Nakato which focuses on the fundamentals of Vanuatu, key selling points, and essential geography.
The second level Nawimba is land themed and explores major islands and provinces, as well as accommodations, activities and attractions.
The third level, Nabanga, is culture themed and as such offers insights into cultural experiences, customs and sustainable tourism practices.
The final level is TamTam, themed as The Call-The Ultimate Expert, focusing on advanced product knowledge, specialist itinerary building, and niche markets.
Those who complete all levels will be recognised as certified Vanuatu specialists and gain access to exclusive rewards and continued updates.
. . . Win Flights
As a further incentive to complete the program, the VTO advises that those who complete all four levels over April and May will go into the draw to win one of 30 tickets flying from Auckland or Christchurch to Vanuatu on Solomon Airlines. Get started HERE.
