Skiing Mammoth Lakes, exploring its brewery scene, and partaking in a few spa treatments were among the highlights for Kiwi agents on a recent Mammoth and Lake Tahoe ski famil with Gate7 and Fiji Airways.
Nicole Bayly from The Travel Brokers was among those on the famil, saying it was one of those trips that’s almost impossible to sum up in a single highlight.
The group skied Olympic Valley and Mount Rose and took a scenic drive across the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
“From the moment we arrived, both destinations completely took our breath away,” she says.
“Each day brought fresh views, incredible ter rain, and that unbeatable feeling of being up in the mountains sur rounded by snow.”
While there was no shortage of activities, the group toured properties including The Ritz-Carlton, and stayed at the new Nordic-style Limelight Resort in Mammoth Village, the Northstar California Resort and Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe.
Bayly says the food and hospitality were outstanding ‘from line dancing to discovering a hid den speakeasy and soaking up the atmosphere at the local village pub in North Lake Tahoe’.
