HoT Expands Kiwi Executive Team

House of Travel has expanded its executive team as the wider group continues to grow.

The company has appointed Shane Dermott as its chief financial officer and Anna Hay as its chief people officer (pictured). House of Travel ceo Dave Coombes says both of the new recruits bring broad experience and new perspectives. “Shane and Anna are strong operators with proven business acumen, and their experience will add huge value as we enter the next phase of growth and innovation”. Coombes adds that HoT’s retail network scales, it made sense to create dedicated retail director and chief people officer roles.

Hay comes from Entrada Travel Group, where she was chief people officer and will take on the chief people officer responsibilities previously held by Jayne Alldred. HoT say this move will allow Alldred to focus on leading the retail network’s ambitious growth strategy. At the same time Dermott comes to the brand as it prepares for a smooth future transition, with Brent Thomas planning to retire at the ‘right time’. “Brent continues to play an integral role in executing our strategy with no set date for his retirement,” says Coombes.

Dermott was previously with The Interiors Group, including Carpet Court and Curtain Studio, where he was cfo.
