Plantation Upgrade: What To Know

Plantation Island Resort is beginning a major expansion next month, and will debut a new range of dining, wellness and leisure experiences in late 2026.

Key to the work is the new central facilities area, which will house Baravi Mediterranean Kitchen offering traditional Italian woodfire pizza, a lagoon-style pool with toddler’s pool and waterslide, and a new bar, replacing the beachfront Brigham Bar.

The works will also see Copra restaurant reinvented, and the doors open on Senibua Spa’s six treatment rooms.

There will also be six new beachfront bures and three new two-bedroom garden bures, each offering separate bedrooms, a lounge area, and modern amenities.

Completion dates vary, but Planation says the spa will be open as early as next month, and the new accommodation by mid-2025.

This builds on recent upgrades including the reimagination of the Tavola pool, the debut of 40 new beachfront hotel rooms, and the introduction of a retail arcade, featuring a mini mart, a bottle shop, a hairdressing salon and BataBata Milkbar.

. . . Moves

Existing product will be altered, relocating to more convenient areas, it says. The water sports activities will be moved to the area between Tavola and Copra restaurants and the day tour and off-site excursions will depart from the jetty at the Tavola area. Those with clients bound for Plantation Island in the coming two years can note that the development is located some distance away from guest accommodation and leisure areas.
