Adventure World Announces Change

Adventure World has restructured its operation, including in New Zealand as the company looks to better serve the evolving market.

Emily Fernandes (pictured) has been appointed as its New Zealand national sales manager, a new role for the company, reporting to its Australia-based head of sales Elsa McLean. The new role underscore s Adventure World’s ‘unwavering commitment to innovation, customer-centric product development, as well as a heightened focus on the vital New Zealand market’, says McLean. “This appointment is a direct response to the growing demand we’ve seen for meaningful, experiential travel — feedback we’ve consistently heard from our valued trade partners. We’ve listened, and we’re investing in the region to better support travel advisors and their clients.” Fernandes has been a trip leader and bdm for Topdeck and, most recently, partner manager Airpoints Loyalty at Air New Zealand. At the same time Anna Burgdorf has been named as Adventure World’s new head of product, based in Australia, charged with spearheading the company’s customer-centric product development and innovation growth strategy. She has 30 years of experience, most recently as gm of Flight Centre’s Luxury Travel Collection brand.
