UA Park Changes

Reservations will not be needed for the US’ Arches, Glacier, Rocky and Yosemite National Parks for the coming northern summer.

The US National Park Service says the move makes the parks more ‘open and accessible’. Arches National Park does not have a timed entry reservation system in 2026—but clients are urged to arrive early, explore lesser-travelled areas if certain locations are busy, and be flexible when enjoying the park. Arches is also an international dark sky park, so urge clients to visit after hours. See HERE.

Glacier National Park doesn’t require a park-wide vehicle reservation system in 2026, but will continue targeted congestion management in high-demand corridors, and there will be parking limits at Logan Pass and temporary vehicle diversions if thresholds are reached. See HERE.

For those planning to visit Rocky Mountain National Park, this site will continue its timed entry reservation system, but only over late May to mid-Oct. See HERE.

Yosemite National Park doesn’t require reservations in 2026, but the park will use real-time traffic management measures including temporary traffic diversions when parking areas reach capacity and additional seasonal staff to manage high-use areas. See HERE.
