Singapore has reported an increasing number of Kiwis heading to the destination, driven by new experiences, more cruise options and its events calendar.
The record growth is part of a global trend of increased travel to Singapore, says the Singapore Tourism Board, which has just released data for Jan-Sep 2026.
New Zealand was the 18th biggest market for the city state in regards to visitor arrivals, with Kiwis mak ing 165,000 visits over this period, up 5% over the previous historical record in 2024.
Total international visitor arrivals to Singapore reached 16.9 million in 2025, up 2.3% on 2024; while spend was up 6.4% on 2024, with tourism receipts reaching a record SGD23.9 billion in the first three quarters.
STB ceo Melissa Ow attributes the growth to the distinctive experiences that Singapore offers.
In 2025, these included major new attractions such as Rainforest Wild Asia, Mandai Wildlife Reserve, and Jurassic World: The Experience at Gardens by the Bay’s Cloud Forest.
Cruise also played a role, with the city state being the homeport to ships including Royal Caribbean International’s Ovation of the Seas; while events such as the F1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix and Blackpink’s Deadline World Tour attracted visitors.
As such, Ow says Singapore will continue to develop a strong pipeline of products, events, and experiences to maintain the momentum.
. . . New Additions
New experiences to debut in 2026 include the return of Cirque du Soleil’s KOOZA, phase two of the Rainforest Wild at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, and Disney Cruise Line’s f irst ship to have an Asia homeport. “As we work towards our Tourism 2040 goals and a sustainable tour ism sector, STB will continue to seek out opportunities to reach new markets and support our tour ism enterprises and workforce to develop differentiated products and experiences,” says Ow.
The MICE sector has also played a role in the destination’s recent growth, with Singapore said to be ranking third worldwide and first in Asia-Pacific according to the International Congress and Convention Association.
