Innovative Travel md Robyn Galloway is emphasising to travel agents that Egypt remains a safe destination, as she plans to make her way to the country on 14 Apr.
Galloway says while recent media coverage of the ‘Middle East’ may feel concerning for some travellers, she stresses that it is essential to understand that it is a broad region spanning many countries, and it’s important to clarify that Egypt is not involved in current conflicts.
“Egypt has no US bases,” she adds. “It’s travel advisory level has remained stable and low for over 18 months—like other popular destinations such as the UK.”
Galloway adds that travel in Egypt is continuing as normal, with its clients being looked after by dedicated staff across Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Alexandria, Abu Simbel, and Hurghada.
