TAANZ ceo Julie White is urging Kiwi travellers not to cancel their planned UK/ Europe trip as they could be forgoing their rights to a refund.

White is highlighting to the mainstream media, that despite current disruption affecting parts of Middle East airspace, travel to the UK and Europe is still ‘very much achievable’.
The global aviation network is highly resilient and airlines are already adapting routes and operational schedules to keep passengers moving safely, she adds.
“Global travel is incredibly resilient. Airlines are experienced in responding to dynamic events and adjusting routes quickly. While the Middle East is a key transit hub and some disruption is occurring, airlines are already operating alternative routings through Asia and other global gateways. This may mean slightly longer travel times, but travellers can still reach Europe.”
TAANZ is urging travellers, via the media, not to cancel trips unnecessarily.
“If you are travelling soon via the Middle East, avoid panic-cancel ling and instead wait for the airline to cancel or amend the flight. Cancelling yourself may mean forgoing your rights to a refund or rebooking options,” says White.
She says the situation remains dynamic but is stressing that the travel industry has a strong track record of adapting quickly to disruption.
“The aviation system is designed to adjust rapidly when circumstances change. Safety will always come first, and travellers can feel confident that airlines and travel advisors are working together to help keep journeys moving.
