Women-only Tours For Kiwi Travellers

World Journeys has launched a new range of women-only tours, escorted from New Zealand, to meet the market demand.

The company has run more than 150 hosted journeys over the years, and has reported an increase in the number of solo women joining these tours, and for a number of reasons.

“Our new women-only tours are also perfect for those single travellers who perhaps feel a little out of place on a tour which is predominantly made up of couples,” says World Journeys’ Kate Couling.

The tours are designed by women, with women in mind, with a maximum of 10 guests. The trips will include a focus on cultural elements such as cooking classes, artisan workshops, visits to women’s co-operatives, and other interactions with women keen to share their traditions, it adds.

“This aspect of the tours is a unique selling point, as by engaging with other women you get a much deeper insight into the destination. There are some incredibly uplifting experiences, such as joining an esteemed female scholar for dinner and a fascinating cultural discussion. Real human connections are made…”

. . . First Tour

The company’s inaugural women- only tour is the 15-day Moroccan Heartbeat departing 19 Sep 2026, Women-only Tours For Kiwi Travellers and is priced from $18,680pp (share twin) including flights ex Auckland via Dubai to Casablanca. The tour starts in Rabat, then explores the blue-washed town of Chefchaouen on a photography walking tour. Next is the Roman ruins of Volubilis and a riad stay in Fes for an artisan masterclass and a Sufi-themed dinner.

Other highlights include a 4×4 trip into the Merzouga Sands and a luxury desert camp including a Nomadic tea ceremony around the fire.

The tour also takes in the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, before heading to Marrakech to join a textile expert to discover hidden ateliers in the maze of the souk. The tour includes some meals, fourstar hotels, transfers and transport, sightseeing and entrance fees and tipping.

The tours will be guaranteed to go with a minimum of six guests, and single travellers may request to share with another, subject to availability, says World Journeys.
