Scenic offers a series of expert-led expedition voyages to East Antarctica and the Ross Sea aboard Scenic Eclipse II for the coming summer season
The cruises will sail ex New Zealand and Hobart from Dec, with renowned explorers and researchers on board who the cruise line says will offer guests unparalleled insights, during special lectures and excursions. Highlighted additions include Robert Swan, the first person in history to walk to both the North and South Poles, who will join Antarctica’s Ross Sea: Majestic Ice & Wildlife on 29 Jan. Swan’s son Barney Swan, who founded non-profit Climate Force, will also be on this voyage. On select East Antarctica & the Ross Sea cruises will be Ian Godfrey, the head conservator at the Mawson’s Huts Foundation.
