G Adventures Arctic Opportunities

G Adventures is returning to the Arctic with a range of new tours exploring the Arctic and Scottish Isles—and for agents it says there’s some real opportunity.

The operator has not cruised in the Arctic since 2019, and founder Bruce Poon Tip says its return to the market is huge news. “We’ve been leading the way in small-ship expeditions for over 25 years and, in true G style, we’re not only going back, we’re going beyond, with the addition of completely new itineraries, packed with wildlife and natural history.”

. . . Opportunity

Poon Tip says more travellers seek the advice of travel experts when journeying to these remote parts of the world—so with the new range comes a huge selling opportunity for agents. “My advice to agents would be to ‘get on board’; there’s a lot more pie to go around with this new product coming to market, and our teams are poised and ready to work hand-in-hand with agents to help them get a slice of that pie.”

. . . The Tours

There’s four new Arctic itineraries, offering 10 departures, including the eight-day Realm of the Polar Bear which explores Norway’s Svalbard archipelago, priced from $9399pp, and the 15-day Arctic Highlights Southbound sailing the fjords of Northeast Greenland National Park, with prices from $14,699pp. The 11-day Realm of the Polar Bear in Depth is from $12,199pp, and a 15-day Arctic Highlights Northbound is from $14,699pp. Cruises will be aboard G Adventures’ renovated ship, MS Expedition, which carries 128 passengers and has a restaurant, bar and comfortable cabins, sun deck and jacuzzi. Each trip will offer wildlife-viewing opportunities, educational sessions with on-board experts ranging from marine biologists to historians, and polar plunges in the Arctic waters, it adds. The first four trips can be booked for departures from Jun 2026, with five additional trips through Scotland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Labrador to be announced in the coming weeks.
