Singapore’s Latest Experiences

Singapore has welcomed a host of new experiences, from skating to shopping, minions and wizards, advises the Singapore Tourism Board.

First up is Trifecta, the first surf, snow and skate lifestyle attraction in Asia. Located next to Somerset Skate Park in Orchard Road, the facility houses a hybrid skate bowl designed for skateboarding and surf skating, with it open in all weather.

Gardens by the Bay is not new, but it has welcomed a new outdoor art installation Borealis at Gardens by the Bay, which aims to recreate the northern lights via layers of light and cloud particles in Supertree Grove.

New Bahru has also made a debut. The lifestyle destination is home to more than 40 independent, made-in-Singapore brands cov­ering retail, dining, lifestyle, and wellness. Opening at the end of last year was Harry Potter: Visions of Magic at Resorts World Sentosa, which features 10 immer­sive environments designed to make visitors feel as if they are in the wizarding world.

Minion Land has opened its doors at Universal Studios Singapore, featur­ing multiple rides, including a car­ousel that is exclusive to Universal Studios Singapore, as well as themed retail and dining experiences.

. . . Re-Opened

Not new, but worth a mention is the Chinese and Japanese Gardens which has reopened after five years of extensive rebuilding. Highlights include new spaces like the Water Wall Court and Water Lily Garden, which houses the largest collection of water lilies in Singapore.
