Cruise lines are changing course to avoid destinations in the Middle East and those already in ports across Doha, Abu Dhabi and Dubai are sheltering in place, following the weekend’s events.

Cruisemapper says cruise ship traffic in the Arabian Gulf has been significantly affected by the rapid escalation of military tensions in the Middle East.
MSC Cruises’ MSC Euribia’s Arabian cruise sailing ex Doha on 01 Mar is cancelled, the ship remains in Dubai, and a letter has been sent to guests saying it will remain there until further notice.
TUI Cruises has vessels in port at Abu Dhabi and Doha, with guests advised to remain in interior spaces, and future departures in Mar are cancelled.
The site also shows Celestyal ships in harbour in Dubai and Doha, and cruises set to take place ex Dubai and Abu Dhabi have been cancelled.
Celestyal Journey is in Doha and has plans to sail again from 07 Mar, though guests have the option to disembark; while Celestyal Discovery is in Dubai, and the line states that it will disembark guests when it is allowed to do so.
Aroya Cruises is also in the area, and has advised passengers that it will notify them immediately in case of any updates or changes.
