The Intrepid Foundation has revealed some lofty goals, with the not-for-profit aiming to raise AUD4.3 million in 2026, off the back of raising a record AUD3.4 million last year.

These funds were shared with 58 grassroots organisations across 45 countries in 2025, according to Intrepid’s newly-released 2025 Impact Report, which also detailed its long-term ambition of becoming an AUD10 million foundation by 2030. The money was raised by more than 16,000 donors, including nearly 10,000 Intrepid travellers.
. . . Led By Locals
Foundation gm Biheng Zhang says The Intrepid Foundation operates on the belief that no one understands a community’s challenges better than the people on the ground, working with local organisations every day.
“The impact we achieved in 2025 was made possible by these remarkable and resilient individuals quietly leading change in their communities, alongside the generosity and connection our global travel community has shown to the places they visit.”
. . . Supported
Intrepid travellers supported Intrepid partners includes Ezwitti which provided more than 91,000 meals to people experiencing food insecurity in Jordan, environmental organisation ZeroPlastic which has established a new ZeroPlastic Impact Centre in Sri Lanka, as well as AMURTEL in Greece, an organisation that hosted more than 1800 maternal support groups for refugee and migrant mothers.
Intrepid welcomed six new partners in 2025, including Scholars of Sustenance in Indonesia and National Parks Conservation Association in the US, and has plans to add close to 20 new partners in coming years. See the report HERE.
