Forward air sales in New Zealand for the second half of FY26 are up 9%, year-on-year for HLO.

Additionally, the group’s New Zealand wholesale TTV rose by 19% for H1, which is says signals strong demand for hotel, cruise, and land-based travel and tour products despite the broader market challenges.

While overall New Zealand ticket volumes saw an 8% softening due to mid-2025 economic conditions, HLO’s forward outlook for New Zealand remains resilient.

Locally HLO opened new stores including Christchurch, Whangārei and Ormiston and relocated its Hamilton store to a larger location in the CBD.

It also launched its B2B cruise booking platform for Kiwi agents (via GO Cruising) in H1 of FY26 featuring more than 50,000 sailings with real time pricing and availability.

The group has also re-entered the corporate and group travel market in New Zealand, following the acquisition of Barlow Travel Group trading as BCD Travel and Gilpin Corporate Travel.

HLO says the ReadyRooms hotel trade booking platform continues to grow strongly across Australia and New Zealand. Overall, forward bookings remain strong through the remainder of FY26 and well into FY27, it adds.
