Research commissioned by Globus family of brands (GFOB), shows small group touring is the most popular travel style for 55% of travellers seeking personal, flexible and immersive experiences. GFOB launched the new touring style last year and now has more than 50 Small Group Discovery itineraries worldwide, with groups averaging 15 guests in Europe and 18 globally.

GFOB head of marketing Asia Pacific Johanna Raeder says travellers are realising tours are a ‘leap forward from DIY’.

“You connect more easily with locals, explore and stay in places larger groups can’t reach and experience destinations in the ways that feel most authentic.”
