The Scenic Group is expanding its worldwide yacht cruising program for 2028, with the launch of Emerald Xara and the return of Scenic Eclipse II to Australia, The Kimberley and the South Pacific.
The Emerald Xara will join the luxury fleet in 2028, the first of the group’s Emerald yachts to explore Asia and Australia.
It will offer 15 new itineraries across these regions, with destinations including Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia’s Raja Ampat islands before venturing to Darwin, The Kimberley and onto Papua New Guinea. See more HERE.
Alternatively, clients can choose to explore this part of the world on the Scenic Eclipse II which will return to Oceania in 2028.
Scenic Group says this deployment is in response to unprecedented travel partner and guest demand following the success of the 2024 and 2025/2026 seasons.
The Scenic Eclipse II (pictured) will operate an extended program across the South Pacific, sailing from Tahiti through the Pacific islands to Australia’s Kimberley coastline.
She will then continue over the Top End and down to Hobart, before travelling to New Zealand for two voyages to East Antarctica and the Ross Sea, then onwards through Indonesia’s Spice Islands to Japan and South Korea. See more HERE.

These announcements build on Scenic Group’s expansion program momentum, including the recent maiden sailing of Emerald Kaia.
Forthcoming river launches in Europe are ahead for Emerald Astra this May, and in 2027 Emerald Lumi, Emerald Nova and Emerald Raiya will visit the continent.
Scenic will also introduce Scenic Aria on Portugal’s Douro River in 2027, Scenic Spirit II on the Mekong in early 2028, and the highly anticipated Scenic Ikon Discovery Yacht in 2028.
