The USA’s Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy continues his mission to make travel better, now proposing workout areas at airports.
Not long after calling for an end to sugar-laden treats on flights, Duffy told those at a news conference at Ronald Reagan National Airport that airports could add a workout area to terminals so travellers can get some ‘blood flowing’ before their flight.
He is also proposing healthier dining options and for there to be more family areas at airports, reportedly citing expanded play areas for children, more nursing rooms and security lines just for families, as part of the new USD1 billion grant program from the Trump administration.
“This is a conversation about could we offer healthier options,” Duffy said. “How do we make the experience, as we all travel together, just a little bit better?”
