Terra Nova Expeditions is launching its Ultimate Antarctic Adventure, blending expedition cruising with polar yacht sailing. The 20-day journey features Antarctic sailing as part of an expedition format.
Terra Nova Expeditions founder and ceo Greg Carter says visitor numbers to the Antarctic Peninsula are continuing to rise, as is competition for landing sites. “We’re lever aging our deep regional knowledge and independent operating model to venture beyond the crowds. By combining expedition cruising with intimate yacht sailing, we can offer flexible routing, quieter anchorages and access to rarely visited bays, delivering a more authentic, truly exploratory experience.”
The Ultimate Antarctic Adventure begins with a Drake Passage crossing, where guests can attend expert led presentations and spot seabirds and whales.
From day three, there will be daily shore landings on the Antarctic Peninsula, Zodiac cruises, kayaking among icebergs, snowshoeing to panoramic viewpoints and wildlife encounters with penguins, seals and whales.
On day eight, participants transfer to the expedition yacht for a six-day sailing micro-expedition. The voyage is priced from USD21,080pp in quad-share cabins, and 2026/2027 departure dates include 28 Dec, and 06, 16 and 25 Jan.
