NCL New Ship and Branding welcomed

Norwegian Cruise Line has christened the Norwegian Luna in Miami, a ship it describes as representing advances of NCL, an evolution that have been well received by Kiwi cruisers.

NCL’s It’s Different Out Here branding was launched earlier this year, and NCL’s vp and md Asia Pacific Ben Angell says the recent christening of Norwegian Luna brings that positioning to life on a global stage.

“In New Zealand, the rebrand has resonated strongly, particularly as guests are responding so positively to ships like Norwegian Spirit, which offers Kiwi travellers a different way to cruise closer to home across Australia, New Zealand and, in particular, the South Pacific.”

For seasoned travellers seeking a close to home holiday that feels elevated and relaxed, Norwegian Spirit has struck a chord, he adds.

“From the ship’s strong reception locally to the debut of Norwegian Luna glob ally, NCL continues to evolve while staying true to what our guests value most.”

The Luna christening took place at PortMiami, with Norwegian Luna’s godmother and hull artist ELLE taking part in the ceremony.

NCLH president and ceo John W. Chidsey says the christening marks an important milestone for the company. “I look forward to the remark able experiences she will deliver and to the exciting future ahead for our brand and our guests.”

The 3565-guest ship will sail the eastern and western Caribbean Apr 2026-Apr 2027, calling into resort style island destinations, including Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas and Harvest Caye in Belize.
