Yasawa Princess II from Blue Lagoon Cruises sails from 27 Apr adding capacity to its fleet as gm marketing Sonya Ridley says the cruise line was ‘basically sold out for seven months of the year last year’.

The vessel caters to 44 guests with 22 crew and amenities include an observation deck, bar and onboard spa.

Ridley says highlights include a hydraulic platform that allows easier access to the sea; this meaning the product better caters to older demographics.

The vessel will eventually replace Fiji Princess, but for the next few years her addition will be welcomed by the trade, who will have access to more capacity.

Despite the increased capacity Ridley still urges agents to book early, recommending about 18 months for charters in peak season. Early bookings are also encouraged for cabins on Yasawa Princess II’s four- and seven-night voyages. The latter Ridley says still has ‘little pockets of space’ from now to Oct.

Mai Sunset Beach Resort also opens in Apr, offering 10 bures.

. . . There’s More

Ridley also says the group has another resort in the works, and a new development on Tivua Island.

The group has also recently purchased Schooner Island, renaming it South Sea Cay and rebuilding the structures to offer a more ‘private’ island experience for those sailing with South Sea Sailing and Ride & Slide from 01 Apr. See more HERE.
