Formula 1 has experienced a resurgence over the past few years, and in 2026 the momentum continues as Williment Travel Sports & Events reports demand for races across Asia and Europe, and for premium options.

The advent of the Netflix hit show Drive To Survive and Liam Lawson’s (pictured) addition to the F1 grid are attributed with raising the sport’s profile to Kiwis. Williment’s operations and events manager Trish Ingram says Kiwis are ‘super keen’ on the Asian F1 packages to China and Japan, as well as Singapore, where attendees have access to some unbelievable A-List concerts.
“Last year was Elton John, Lewis Capaldi, Foo Fighters and Smashing Pumpkins to name some,” she adds.
. . . Europe
Europe is also turning into a big one for this year, with Ingram reporting high demand for Italy’s Monza and Silverstone in the UK, with premium experiences also trending. Premium F1 tickets, says Ingram, provide the ultimate luxury experience in the most sought-after locations on the track.
“These hospitality suites are usually positioned above the pit lane with gourmet dining, bars and exclusive behind-the-scenes access with pit lane walks, paddock tours and most importantly, unparalleled access to teams, drivers, and the action.”
. . . Top Tips
Not everyone has the budget for a premium experience, so Ingram has some cost-cutting advice, the first to book early as some races are turning to dynamic pricing.
General admission tickets are the most affordable option for entry to F1 and allow access to roam around the circuit grounds and take in the race atmosphere, with food and beverage options to purchase. “Our packages will always start with a minimum of a Grandstand Option for F1 which guarantees you a seat with track views and easy access to food, drink and merchandise.”
There is also the option to attend the pre-testing days. Tickets to these were reportedly less than USD30 for the recent F1 in Bahrain, though Ingram warns that destinations and dates are not usually announced until mid-season, and in some cases these testing days can be private.
“If you are an F1 Fan, your best option is to get yourself trackside to an official F1 Race in 2026,” says Ingram. Her other tips include using an authorised agent such as Williments, and she also encourages agents to upsell, pointing out people are now combining their holiday time with a sports event then staying longer to actually explore the destination they are in.
