Qantas Celebrates Inaugural AKL-PER

Qantas and Tourism WA hosted a famil to Perth to celebrate the launch of the new year-round thrice-weekly Qantas AKL-PER.

The group got to see the new QF lounge at Auckland Airport before the inaugural flight which included onboard celebrations and giveaways such as chocolate quokkas, whale shark soft toys and Perth travel vouchers.

Famil highlights included a Freemantle walking tour with Two Feet and a Heartbeat, the Fremantle markets, and a trip over to Rottnest Island. The group sampled the glamping experience at Discovery Rottnest Island and checked out the recently-opened Lodge Wadjemup. After quokka spotting the group headed back to PER for an Aboriginal tour of Kings Park with In Culture Tourism, and a diamond masterclass at the Perth Mint to learn Qantas Celebrates Inaugural AKL-PER about pink Argyle diamonds and the gold mining history of WA.

The Kiwi group also tasted coffee at Yahava coffee works, sampled sweet treats at the House of Honey and then a had wine tasting experience lunch at Sandalford winery.
