Qantas’ Project Sunrise has taken another step towards take-off this week, with the carrier’s first A350 1000 Ultra Long Range aircraft rolling out of the hanger in Toulouse, following the installation of its Rolls Royce Trent XWB engines.
The plane, which will be used to fly the carrier’s historic non-stop flights between Australia and London and New York, will now undergo its final ground checks and a two-month flight testing campaign. The aircraft is expected to fly the route from early 2027.
