NYC: How To Attend Shows For Free

If being part of a live studio audience is on your New York City-bound client’s bucket lists, forget splashing cash on tickets, New York City Tourism + Conventions has a list of shows that can be attended for free.

Options include The Daily Show, which airs Mon through Thu, and The Kelly Clarkson Show which airs weekdays. Adults can also attend Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on Sat, as well as The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on weeknights. Saturday Night Live is also free to attend, however, tickets are hard to come by as they are given out just once a year through a lottery.

. . . Families

For those travelling with teenagers, The Drew Barrymore Show can be attended Tue, Wed and Thu for those aged 16+, as can Late Night with Seth Meyers and The View, both airing Mon through Fri, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Falloon, also airing Mon through Fri. Families can also look to morning talk show Live with Kelly and Mark which airs live on weekdays and is open to children aged 10+.

. . . Be Early

With these shows being free to attend, booking as far in advance as possible is recommended. A few do offer standby options, but clients would have to wait in line and there’s no guarantee.
