Royal Caribbean has revealed details of its third Icon Class ship, Legend of the Seas, slated to sail from 2026.
Currently under construction in Finland, the ship will boast eight neighborhoods, most notably the adults-only Hideaway which features an infinity pool suspended above the ocean, and Surfside, a neighborhood designed for young families.
There will also be more than 40 restaurants, cafes and bars including swim up bar Swim & Tonic. Other notable features include Category 6, said to be the largest waterpark at sea, and seven pools, including Royal Bay which the cruise line claims will be the largest pool at sea.
It will also feature Icon Class highlights such as Crown’s Edge which is part skywalk, part ropes course and part thrill ride.
Details on the accommodations are to come, but the cruise line has confirmed there will be a three-storey Ultimate Family Townhouse.
This will be RCI’s fourth ship powered by liquefied natural gas, and she will boast a proven lineup of industry-leading environmental programs, says RCI, including shore power connection. Legend of the Seas will sail a series of Northern Summer European itineraries ex Barcelona in Aug, before heading to Fort Lauderdale in Nov to cruise the Western and Southern Caribbean.
Bookings will open 20 Feb. Keep up to date HERE.
