Vanuatu Tourism’s Plea To Kiwi Trade

A recent survey has shown that 80% of tourism operators in Vanuatu have had little or no impact from the 7.3 earthquake in Dec and were back up and running within days, says the Vanuatu Tourism Office.

In a statement to the Kiwi trade ceo Adela Issachar Aru (pictured) says that whilethe four-block cent ral CBD area remains closed the majority of tourism businesses are fully operational. “It waswonderful to see so many people continued their holidays over the Christmas period, embracing everything Vanuatu has to offer,” says Aru. “Our iconic Mama’s markets, handicraft plus fruit and vegetables (pictured), have relocated to various locations around Port Vila. The majority of tour operators are back in action, she adds, offering everything from kayaking and sunset cruises to ziplining, swimming, and snorkelling. “All the favourite restaurants are also open, ensuring the full Vanuatu experience.”
