Two New Windstar Ships

Windstar Cruises is expanding, with the luxury cruise line adding two new all-suite motor yachts to its fleet, Star Seeker and Star Explorer.

Star Seeker is slated to sail from Dec 2025, and Star Explorer in Dec 2026, and the cruise line says this expansion builds on the success of its game-changing Star Class, and will allow Wind Star to return to Tahiti.

Speaking on the new additions, Andrew Todd, the ceo of parent company Xanterra Travel Collection, says Windstar Cruises is poised for remarkable growth and an exciting future ahead. “We’re excited about the possibilities of where Windstar will sail and the opportunities it brings our officers, crew and staff, and our guests.”

Each yacht will offer 112 suites with full private verandas and infinity windows, as well as two new Owner’s Suites with wrap-around balconies. There’s also a watersports platform, a Yacht Club café and lounge, Star Grill, a two-story spa and fitness facility, a whirlpool on the bow, and a spacious open deck with Windstar’s famous deck barbeques. Also notable is a staff to guest ratio of one:two, and a re-imagined main dining room which will offer dishes from James Beard Foundation–affiliated guest chefs. Full itineraries and booking details for Star Seeker will be announced in late Jun 2024.
