The World’s Most Punctual Airlines

The list of the most punctual airlines for Jun are out and Saudia has topping the list globally, while Air New Zealand was ranked tenth in Asia Pacific behind Tasman rival Qantas, in eighth place, in the Cirium rankings.

Looking at the Asia Pacific region Cirium says Thai AirAsia claimed the crown as the most punctual airline in the region for Jun, with 87.71% of its flights arriving on time, followed by ANA and Philippine Airlines, with on time arrivals of 85.67% and 85.59%. IndiGo was 81.65%; Cathay Pacific 80.61%; Thai Airways 79.29%; QF 78.96%; and Singapore Airlines 78.87%. NZ was in 10th place for the region, with a Jun on time performance­score of 78.61%.

Saudia was the most on time airline overall for the month, with 91.33% of its flights arriving on time, followed by Aeromexico and Azul, with scores of 87.85% and 86.33%, respectively. ANA and SAS rounded out the top five, with 85.67% and 85.27% of flights arriving on time. Turkish Airline, JAL, LATAM, Avianca and Iberia made up the top 10, all with scores of more than 80%. Air Canada was the airline with the most on time arrivals for North America. Icelandair came out on top in Europe; Gol lead in Latin America; and Flydubai was top in the Middle East & Africa.

Looking to airports, Riyadh King Khalid International Airport was the most punctual large airport, while the medium airport winner was Osaka Itami International Airport. Ecuador’s Guayaquil Jode Joaquin de Olmedo International Airport took out the small category, all with scores of more than 90%.
