The TAANZ NTIAs highlight the best of the sector’s corporate agents with Andrea Russell taking home Corporate Travel Agency Manager and Abigail Gorman Corporate Rookie of the Year.
Russell (pictured top), from Orbit World Travel, says her win is an incredible honour, and truly humbling. “More than anything, it’s a reflection of the amazing team I get to work with every day and our shared dedication to going above and beyond for our clients.” Russell has been with the House of Travel group for 13 years, with a reputation for being organised, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy.
Fellow winner Gorman (pictured bottom), based at Orbit World Travel Christchurch, says her rookie win has been incredibly motivating. “It showed me that my efforts are valued and, with the support for my team, I am inspired and driven to keep building my career in the travel industry.” While Gorman has only been in the industry a short time, she has built herself a reputation for fresh ideas, enthusiasm, and a love for her work, adds HoT.

Orbit World Travel actually took home three awards overall, with its senior account manager Debbie Kelly winning the Customer Advocacy of the Year award. “I’m so happy to win this award as it confirms how important what I do is, and that my industry also acknowledges it,” Kelly says.
