Solomon Airlines is now flying transtasman, launching a new route between Auckland and Brisbane which allows for same day connections to Honiara and Munda.
The new weekly Fri A320 service offers 12 business class seats and 138 in Economy, and arrives in Australia at 0715.
Clients travelling to Honiara can remain onboard the aircraft in Munda, and do not need to complete customs and immigration formalities until arrival in Honiara.
The new service, says IE, reflects its ongoing commitment to providing seamless travel experiences, meeting passenger demand, and supporting regional development. Important for agents to note, the flights between AKL and BNE are available for sale as stand alone sectors, with fares loaded in the GDS.

Coinciding with this announcement, says Airline Marketing, are changes to flights between Port Vila and Auckland, which come into effect 20 Feb. AKL-VLI will move to operate on Tue and Sat; and VLI-AKL to
operate on Mon and Thu. Schedule information can be found on the GDS, which is being updated, and ticketed customers will be rebooked onto alternative services, with agents advised to check queues and update bookings accordingly.
