SATC’s Simple Offer Enticing Kiwis

The South Australia Tourism Commission has launched a new campaign for Kiwis, positioning the state as one which offers an endless supply of simple pleasures.

The Simple Pleasures campaign highlights meaningful experiences unique to the state, such as exploring the wild back roads of Kangaroo Island and sampling world-class shiraz among heritage stone wineries in the Barossa. It comes at a time when it says more New Zealanders than ever are venturing beyond Australia’s traditional gateways. Kiwis are now the equal second-largest international market for South Australia, with 48,000 arrivals to the state in 2024. And these New Zealanders are spending more and staying longer, allowing for visitation to the state’s off-the-beaten-track regions like the Flinders Ranges and Eyre Peninsula. SATC ceo Emma Terry says the campaign invites travellers to pause, reflect, and find fulfilment in moments like picking fruit straight from the tree, or stargazing under the world’s darkest skies. “These are the simple pleasures savoured in South Australia.”
