Flight Centre Travel Group has today announced a record first half total transaction value and profit growth, as the company’s New Zealand business delivers ‘a positive first-half ‘for the 2026 financial year.

The group’s md Graham Turner says the result was achieved ‘in a challenging global trading climate’ and underpinned by a 7% H1 TTV of AUD12.5 billion, a record low (9.6%) H1 cost margin, plus strong corporate and leisure growth.

This side of the Tasman FCTG is highlighting its H1 gains.
“Across our leisure business, travel demand remained steady. Our focus continues to be driving growth across our brands and expanding our footprint,” says FCTG New Zealand cfo Terence Blokker.
“[FCNZ] opened new stores in Cambridge and Coastlands Shopping Centre. Our currency exchange brand, Travel Money NZ, opened a new location in Manukau and this month launched same-day click and collect…Travel Money is now operating from 15 stores nationwide and continues to see strong demand and trade.”
Locally Blokker says the company has continued to expand into the luxury sector, appointing a head of luxury brands to support the growth of its Travel Associates, and launch The Luxury Travel Collection in New Zealand.
“Our Luxury Travel Collection will open for expressions of interest for members in 2026,” he adds.
At the same time he says its independent brand, Envoyage ‘continues its focus on growing [its] New Zealand membership base and strengthening support for travel entrepreneurs’, with the addition of a national sales manager into its leadership team.
On the corporate travel front, Blokker says Corporate Traveller New Zealand has seen ‘a standout result in the first half of the financial year, securing new business and maintaining high business retention rates’. FCM NZ continues to contribute to its corporate arm’s strong overall performance, he adds.
