G Adventures has 38 new trips for 18-to-Thirtysomethings ranging from Patagonia, ‘the stans’, Panama and the company’s first stand-alone trip to Belize.
Yves Marceau, vp of product says the company is opening up destinations that have traditionally been difficult or expensive to travel to ‘in a really unique and innovative way’. This, he adds, includes community-run accommodations, multi-day island hopping itineraries and activities that celebrate the place and the people who live there.
. . . Solo Demand
G Advenures also reports that 73% of travellers booking its trips are solo travellers who appreciate the social aspect and security that comes with a group and that the booking is often their first big international trip. The six-day Island-hopping and Sailing Belize: Beach Days & Starry Nights starts from $1839pp and includes Mayan ruins, beaches, jungles, island-hopping and the world’s second-largest barrier reef. A two-day add-on is also available. Adventures in Patagonia, Chile and Argentina range from nine to 16 days and G Adventures says the destination is typically expensive and remote, making it difficult for those on a budget and with limited time but its lead-in nine-day Patagonia: Turquoise Lakes & Torres del Paine starts from $4159pp and offers time to explore. Other new options are the 26-day The Stans: The Ultimate Adventure through the Silk Road from $5859pp and the six-day Panama: Sandy Beaches & San Blas Sunsets from $1499pp.
