The offering aboard Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Bliss is set to change, as Norwegian Cruise Line reveals the two ships are to be upgraded over the coming months.
New experiences, as well as an upgrade of popular venues and expanded accommodations are part of the revamp, which comes as NCL vp and md Asia Pacific Ben Angell says the cruise line wants to provide guests with even more to do and more to enjoy as they explore their favourite destinations. “We know that our guests enjoy relaxation, socialising and watching movies so I am sure these new experiences will be of great appeal,” he adds. Norwegian Bliss will be upgraded first, with a dry dock taking place 17 Jan-02 Feb.

Highlighted changes will include the. addition of a new outdoor venue Horizon Park which will offer lawn-style games and loungers, as well as a renovation of the Premiere Owner’s Suites with Large Balconies to include three bedrooms. NCL will also repurpose a portion of More Aboard NCL’s Breakaway & Bliss the Observation Lounge on deck 15 to add 24 additional balcony staterooms and two additional club balcony staterooms. Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki will expand, replacing Los Lobos and Coco’s respectively, while Palomar, a seafood specialty dining restaurant, will replace Ocean Blue. Norwegian Breakaway’s upgrade will take place 19 Feb-14 Mar, and will include the addition of movie and dining venue Silver Screen Bistro, replacing the Spiegel Tent. This ship will also offer the new Horizon Park, with a bonus al-fresco venue and stage for live music and entertainment, and will debut The Stadium, an outdoor activities concept offering family-friendly games. Cagney’s Steakhouse is expanding and replacing Moderno Churrascaria and Ocean Blue is replaced by Palomar, as well as Vibe Beach Club and The Haven Sundeck being expanded.
