JQ/GC Roadshow

Experience Gold Coast’s two agent regional roadshow events, which brought together 12 Gold Coast tourism operators, Gold Coast Airport and Jetstar representatives, attracted more than 100 agents and trade professionals in Hamilton and Dunedin, says the STO.

Despite the challenges posed by ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred a week earlier, the event showcased the resilience and commitment of the Gold Coast tourism sector. “The roadshow served as a valuable platform to share exciting updates about the destination, including new offerings from local theme parks, hotels, and attractions,” says EGC’s Kate Fulton.

The event highlighted new experiences available on the Gold Coast, and focused on the upcoming launch of JQ’s direct flights from Hamilton and Dunedin which commence in Jun. “This new route promises to boost travel between the Gold Coast and New Zealand, opening up further opportunities from both of these regions into the Gold Coast,” says Fulton. “With strong collaboration from local businesses and airport staff, the event reinforced the Gold Coast’s position as a must-visit destination for Kiwi travellers.”
