House of Travel Group has opened the doors to its latest store, House of Travel Auckland City.
Owner operator Brendan Drury says his team is ‘bringing the magic of in-person travel back’ to the Auckland CBD. The six-person team started in Parnell, but the store closed during the pandemic. Since then they’ve worked remotely, at the HoT head office and even at an office above Britomart train station. Through it all, Drury says the team has held onto one thing, that Kiwis love an in-person chat about their travel plans, and they value the expertise agents bring to make their bucket-list adventures happen. Speaking on Drury and his new store, HoT chief executive David Coombes says he is well known in the Auckland community for building a fantastic rapport with clients. “Customer-centric experiences are at the heart of our strategy and the opening of HoT Auckland City reflects our Group’s commitment to continually raise the bar as New Zealand’s most trusted partner in travel,” adds Coombes. The HoT Auckland City space will benefit Orbit World Travel’s Auckland business by offering leisure travel options alongside corporate travel management, it adds.
