Travellers are increasingly looking to travel slower, says Intrepid Travel which has added six more itineraries that include travel via rail rather than air.
Since the launch of its dedicated rail range in 2024, Intrepid reports a 24% growth in bookings, year-on-year. “In a world that feels like it’s always going at full steam, rail travel provides ease, convenience and a slower pace,” says gm experiences Erica Kritikides. “The latest additions to our popular rail range are some of our most exciting yet, traversing both iconic and lesser-known routes and providing access to new places and experiences.” As with all the trips in Intrepid’s rail range, there are no internal flights and the majority of travel is done by train, reflecting Intrepid’s long – term product development plans to leave lighter tracks.
