Explore Worldwide has expanded its North African offering with a series of tours to Algeria, a new country for the operator and one that some claim is the new ‘it’ destination.
Ben Ittensohn, regional director AU/NZ, says Explore will be among the first small-group operators to offer Algeria, giving agents the opportunity to sell a destination he says is ‘rarely visited’. “With its rich cultural layers and immersive geographical diversity, it’s a destination our travellers are going to love, one that agents can confidently promote as something fresh, unique and packed with storytelling potential.”
The tours take in sights such as Timgad, often known as the Pompeii of Africa, and the Sahara Desert including Tassili n’Ajjer National Park.
