Agents will now be able to book Emirates’ premium economy product on even more routes, as the carrier expands the product to more destinations over the coming months.

The class, currently available on its A380 flights between Auckland and Dubai, offers reclinable cream leather seats with leg rests and a 13.3in screen, plus an extended beverage list and meals served on china.
Premium economy will be added to daily flights between DXB and Barcelona from 05 Feb; to Mexico City from 15 Feb; Karachi and Addis Ababa from 01 Mar; Taipei from 15 Mar; and to Rome, Brisbane and Tehran 29 Mar onwards.
Then, on 01 Jun it will roll out on flights to Cape Town and Copenhagen, followed by Helsinki on 01 Oct.
For agents who have already issued a ticket in premium economy to DXB and an economy onward from DXB for one of these destinations, there is the option to re-issue the ticket so the client can travel in premium economy on the onwards flight, sub ject to availability. In this instance, agents will have to re-book the sec tors being upgraded to premium economy and re-price the PNR at the current fare before re-issuing the ticket, collecting any fare difference. No re-issue penalties will apply. If PNR’s are not re-issued, clients will remain in their ticketed economy cabin.
. . . New Kits Too?
EK has also released new premium economy amenity kits featuring socks, eyeshades, earplugs, a Colgate dental kit, and Aveda lip balm, hand moisturiser and face lotion. The kits are available on overnight flights of a longer duration, and each collectible kit bag highlights an endangered species, from glass frogs to Asian black bears and small-clawed otters.
