Details Of AA’s AKL Bound Aircraft

American Airlines has now officially announced that its new premium 787-9 aircraft will operate on the carrier’s Auckland-Dallas Fort Worth route 07 Jan-28 Mar.

AA’s vp international and inflight dining operations Jose A Freig says the carrier is excited to be introducing the new air­craft on the popular route, provid­ing customers with a more elevated, premium experience. “From reconfigured seats to Bluetooth connectivity and a fresh new look, our new aircraft is steeped in comfort and func­tionality, which our customers are increasingly looking for in long-distance flying”.

Highlights include the 51 AA Flagship Suite seats, more personal storage space, a wireless charging pad, USB-C and AC power and a chaise lounge seating option with an adjustable headrest pillow. It also has a redesigned 32-seat premium economy offering, with seats with a new trim, new head­rest wings for additional privacy, new calf and footrests, wireless charging, water bottle storage and USB-C and AC power. In the main cabin, seats have USB-C and AC power and 4K QLED screens, featuring the newest in-flight enter­tainment technology, adds AA. Kiwis flying AA via Australia will see the 787-9 on AA’s seasonal flights between DFW and Brisbane from Nov.
