Cruise World has expanded its portfolio of cruise lines with the addition of Japan-based Mitsui Ocean Cruises, which it says offers Kiwis the chance to explore the destination like a local.
Mitsui Ocean Cruises caters to both the Japanese domestic and the international markets with English spoken on board. Cruise World says it offers authentic Japanese cuisine alongside international dishes, and entertainment that showcases Japan’s history, culture, and art. Cruise World gm Cherryl Browne says Kiwi agents, and their clients, will be familiar with the ship, which previously operated as Seabourn Odyssey, and this makes it an easy segue for offering this as a new product to market. “On board Mitsui has kept her mostly the same but with some refurbishments, and name changes for the public areas,” she says. “The focus and emphasis, though, is the unique offering of the onboard and ashore experiences.”
. . . Familar Ships
The cruise line currently operates one ship, the 458-guest Mitsui Ocean Fuji, but Seabourn Sojourn will also join the fleet next year. Itinerary-wise, the offering includes spring and autumn cruises, Christmas-themed voyages, cruises down to the Ryukyu Islands and more.
. . . Savings
To celebrate the partnership, Cruise World has fares for select seven-night cruises in Sep and Oct, starting from AUD5250pp, per day, for sales to 15 Aug. See HERE.
