The 75-room Club Med Beach & Safari in South Africa is set to open next Jul on the North Coast of KwaZulu – Natal, 20 minutes from Durban’s King Shaka International airport— and the company has launched a competition, also open to agents, to win a trip to experience the resort first-hand.
Michelle Davies, gm for Club Med Pacific and new ESAP markets, says the launch of the new resort marks a defining chapter in the brand’s continued evolution. “Club Med Beach & Safari marks several firsts for the brand—our debut in this destination, our first-ever dual-location experience, and our inaugural safari offering, blending beachfront relaxation with African adventure.” The South African resort, which opens for sales on 14 Oct, has an adult zone with private lounge and jacuzzi, a family zone with connecting rooms, a natural pool, the first Club Med surf academy and a waterfront estuary. Safaris can be accessed via a 45-minute chartered flight.

To celebrate the future opening of Club Med Beach & Safari the company has launched a digital campaign where viewers, including agents, can win a seven-night stay at the new property and South African Airways flights for a family of four. The digital experience, Journey to Paradise, features eight quizzes which will be rolled out over a four-week period, and those who complete the quizzes will be in the draw to win.
