Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice series of ships are getting a new look via a USD250 million upgrade.
Laura Hodges-Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, says the work will elevate the holiday experience even further, adding new experiences and enhancements. “Guests will enjoy more ways to explore and restore, all while staying true to what made our guests fall in love with these ships in the first place.” Highlights of the investment include eight new experiences, such as intimate entertainment venue the cabaret-inspired Boulevard Lounge as well as Boulevard Bar, home to handcrafted cocktails; elevated sports bar Celebrity Barcade; Italian restaurant Trattoria Rossa and the addition of an Edge-series Fine Cut Steakhouse. Outdoors, new additions include the top deck half-acre Sunset Park, serving elevated cuisine, cocktails, lawn games, open-air concerts and more. The ships will also receive new private cabanas and an expanded Sunset Bar, adds Celebrity. The Retreat will be reimagined with enhanced suites, a new Retreat Sundeck with ample outdoor seating and shade and a redesigned Retreat Lounge. Upgrades are also planned for all staterooms and four new stateroom categories including panoramic infinite veranda, deluxe panoramic oceanview, panoramic ocean view and deluxe panoramic oceanview. Numerous venues will also be refreshed, including Café Al Bacio, Cellar Masters, World Class Bar, Martini Bar, Pool Bar, Passport Bar, Blu, Luminae, the Fitness Center and Camp at Sea.

Celebrity Solstice will be the first of the Solstice Series ships to be renovated, and is expected to be completed in Mar, in time for her series of cruises in Asia and Australia.
