Brand USA wants to equip Kiwi agents with all they need to know about the iconic Route 66 via a new webinar series.
Route 66: A Deep Drive, in partnership with Destination Webinars, is a series of eight webinars launching this month. Suzy Shepard, Brand USA’s senior director of global trade development APAC says the webinars will empower agents to confidently sell US road trips, giving them the knowledge to build self-drive itineraries that offer exceptional value, flexibility, and immersive experiences. “With the centenary of Route 66 on the horizon, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on the people, places, and stories that make this route a bucket-list adventure for Aussie and Kiwi travellers,” she adds.

Each webinar will spotlight a key destination along Route 66, and agents will hear from US tourism and product reps, including airlines and car rental companies. The final session is also timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the historic Route 66, adds Brand USA. The schedule is: Travel Oklahoma and Infinity Holidays (22 Jul); Visit Missouri and Delta Air Lines (12 Aug); Travel Texas and Alamo Rent A Car (23 Sep); and New Mexico Tourism Department and United Airlines (28 Oct). Arizona Office of Tourism and Viva Holidays (23 Nov); Illinois Office of Tourism and Air New Zealand (03 Feb); Travel Nevada and Ride the World Motorcycles (03 Mar) and Visit California and Infinity Holidays (31 Mar).
