Sunrise Resort, an adults-only property on Vanuatu’s Espiritu Santo, is urging agents to include the property in the mix for coupes looking for South Pacific options.
The family-run property caters to nine couples at a time, across three villas with ocean views, four boutique garden rooms—and two secluded villas located on a private island, connected to the main resort by a bridge. Samantha Honey, who manages the resort with her husband Colin, says it caters to clients who want a personal, tailored experience, as well as luxury. “We’re boutique, we’re small, we cater for up to nine couples, 18 people, so they get that personal experience while they’re here and we tailor as best as we can to each guest’s needs,” says Honey. “Our staff all know [guests] by name; myself and my husband, we speak with the guests constantly making sure they are looked after.” Perhaps its biggest point of difference, though, is the all-inclusive nature. Honey says it is the only all-inclusive property on Espiritu Santo. Stays include accommodation, three meals a day including a three-course dinner, return airport transfers and daily guided tours.
Honey notes the property has a rotating schedule of daily excursions, which range from a day trip out to Champagne Beach or to one of the destination’s many blue holes to visiting the local markets with a chef and taking part in a cooking class. There’s also additional excursions that agents can add on to a client’s stay for an additional cost, such as fishing charters, and drinks packages can also be added. “A lot of the other resorts are a lot bigger or they’re just offering just accommodation and then you’ve got the additional plus plus plus. . . we’ve got no additional hidden costs except drinks.” Given the resort’s smaller size, buy-outs are an option, and while Honey says they have yet to host a wedding, she is open to the idea.
. . . 10% For Agents
The property is trade-friendly offering 10% commission on bookings, plus agent rates are available for those who sell Vanuatu and are keen to experience the property firsthand. Honey says she’s also in the process of putting a marketing package together for the trade.
