Silversea has revealed the details of its World Cruise 2028, An Ode to the Moment, which its president Bert Hernandez says is designed to slow time, offering clients a deeper exploration of each destination.
Silver Shadow will depart Miami on 05 Jan, sailing to 58 destinations over 132 days, before ending in Nice on 16 May. Highlights include 17 overnights, more than 30 UNESCO World Heritage Sites and a series of curated events and overland tours.

The global itinerary will feature nine chapters. The first is Anthem of The Tropics, ex Miami to Cartagena via ports such as Jost Van Dyke, Gustavia and Kralendijk. Chapter Two is Reign of the Rainforest cruising ex Cartagena to Valparaiso via South America, while Chapter Three is Lands of Fire and Ice, from Valparaiso to Buenos Aires, and exploring the Chilean Fjords and Patagonia. The Beat of Tradition is Chapter Four, with this including the opportunity to experience Carnival in Rio de Janeiro. Chapter Five, Sands of Time, is the journey ex Rio de Janeiro to Cape Town via the Southern Atlantic, and Chapter Six is Nature In Verse, with this sector offering guests the chance to explore South Africa and Mauritius.
Tales of Spice & Silk, Chapter Seven, covers the Arabian Peninsula including Muscat, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, while Chapter Eight, The Ancient Realm, sails the Red Sea with calls into Jordan and Egypt. The final Chapter is Echoes of Empires, which focuses on taking guests off-the-beaten-path in the Mediterranean, with visits to Milos, Agropoli, and Diano National Park.
