Jetstar is launching a new international route—a thrice weekly seasonal flight between Christchurch and Perth from 27 Oct.
The service will connect to a number of Qantas Group services ex Perth, including Bali, London, Paris, Johannesburg, Delhi and Rome.

JQ ceo Stephanie Tully says the carrier is committed to its promise of making travel accessible for all Kiwis. “We’ve seen strong demand for low fares, travel on both sides of the Tasman, and we’re excited to offer customers even more choice as we continue to expand our transtasman network.”
Christchurch Airport ceo Justin Watson says the new PER service reflects building demand and a strong airline partnership. “We are stoked to add another destination to our Australian network. It’s fantastic news; it gives South Islanders even more choice and strengthens our ties with our most important market.”
Also praising the move is Western Australia Minister for Tourism Reece Whitby, who says the service strengthens the state’s connection to New Zealand, one of its most valuable international visitor markets.
